3.0t swap with DSG into 12 A4 Possible?

I know the response is going to be sell it and buy an S4, which may be the route I go but... I have a 12 A4 2.0t Quattro with every option including dynamic suspension, also have a 11 S4 w/40k on it that was rolled but runs. Has anyone done a 3.0t swap yet? I have both complete cars so I know technically it's possible but how much needs swapped?

There are a couple of A4 Avants running with S4 drivetrains. Do yes it's possible, and probably the only reason to try it for me would be in Avant. You probably can part out the s4 then sell the A4 and pick up a S. And no huge headache. Just saying.

I agree with this...especially when you consider labor but all the other goodies you can't get in the A4, that are in the S4 like sexy seats

I think the member meant a 3.0t engine and drivetrain into a avant body.

Well the S4 parts car has the seats and everything else an S4 does that can easily swap into the A4 shell. Just have to decide if it's worth the labor but, I have a lift and space to do the swap so no real "cost" besides the time.

I think you should patiently wait for an A4 Avant with a blown engine or some mechanical damage and/or cosmetic damage to come up for auction. Then swap as many S4 parts into that and either keep the A4 Avant or sell it for an S4. A 3.0T swapped avant is going to have way more resale value than a swapped A4. Anyone who wants a swapped A4 will just get an S4 and not have to worry about potential gremlins. I think if you did a good job on it you could sell a 3.0T Avant for a bit over an equivalent S4's value.
