    Supercharger Whine up to 3000 RPM

    Is it normal to have a supercharger whine up to 3000 rpm? It stops immediately at that rpm.

    Yeah somewhat - how pronounced? Could be something as simple as a lose intake manifold but probably those chains and cut gears your referring too..

    posting a video of the sound might help determining if it's normal or not

    these engines definitely have a mechanical "whine" (easier to hear if you still have the factory exhaust)
    My engine definitely sounds more "whiny" at a very cold start up (it could be the power steering pump though)

    OP, did the sound change lately or was it always that loud ?

    I noticed this sound but I'm okay with the assumption that it's the straight cut gears that drive the A/C compressor and the power steering pump.

    Have the whine as well. Had two shops look into the whine and both said normal.
