    Exclamation HELPPPP Brake Caliper Stuck

    Sup everyone!

So bought 2012 Audi A7 a few months back and still loving it! But of course it came time to change the brakes, and after EBC brakes being on back order for like 2 weeks I finally got them in but way too late. So the issue i'm having is the brake caliper is stuck on, I have removed the spring, the front screw and the 2 in the back however it's still stuck. Anybody got any ideas on how to get it off or to make sure I don't have some alternate braking system active?

    Thanks!

If you are talking about the rear brakes you need to energize them to open via vcds. There's a procedure to it as there are electric motors in the rear brakes.

Gently pry on the caliper to get the pucks to retract. There sometimes is a small ridge around the outer edge of the rotor. The pads have to be loose enough to clear the ridges.

Open the brake fluid reservoir first and check if there is room for more fluid. I had my 35K service and they filled my reservoir to the top.

Thanks guys, just had to do a little prying with the crowbar. Threw some spacers on the front and painted the calipers while I was at it. Looks awesome!
