Just need to Vent a bit.

Sitting in traffic on the way home, I passed a new looking white 5.0 Mustang with an exhaust. He immediately pulled out of the left lane and got on me. We were approaching a major intersection going about 15mph, light turned yellow i tapped the brake then decided to go. Well the Mustang driver apparently thought i was trying to get him stuck at the light. He immediately pulled up next to me screaming out his window, flipping me off etc. I laughed and asked wtf his problem was as we were approaching the next stop light. We were the first cars at the next light. I kept my cool the best i could and apologized that i didn't realize it was all about him, and next time i will be more conscious of my surroundings. As he began to scream at me more I revved the engine getting ready to pull.

He then screams, "Its on ASSH0L3...."

I pulled on him like he was tied to a post, felt good. Wish I had a passenger to film...

My first car, well first 3 were 5.0 fox body's & that was fun at the tender age of 18. "Da real 5.0", a 89 GT, 93 GT & a 88 LX. But it stopped there, I honestly was not fond of any of the Mustangs after the 87-93 Fox body's no matter how much power they had. Now of days you can get some crazy power from the new stangs for a pretty damn decent price. But around me they are EVERYWHERE.

But mother of god did my 5.0's sound good with a off-road H-pipe & flow master dumped mufflers. Was a super cheap route as well compared to what we pay today's for a cat back on our B8's! Pretty sure I paid like $200 for a off-road H-pipe & another $225 for two flowmasters lol.

you my friend are my hero. I raced recently against a 5.0 with a crazy loud exhaust. Each time off the light, i had nearly 10 car lengths on him in about 5-10 seconds. I thought this was strange and let him lead me the third time and my god did he suck at shifting. But since he did initiate the races, it was good to beat a mustang even though im just stage 1 haha.

I always preferred the Fox LX to the GT 88-93. I liked to see the pipes on the LX and not have them hidden under body work with the GT. Went to buy my 1st new car in 1990 and I was shopping between a Civic Si or Mustang LX. Mustang was $12,500 and the Civic $12,800. I wanted the Mustang so bad, but the insurance was through the roof with me being single and under 25. Ended up with the Civic.

Definitely not me. His first mistake (before thinking you purposely brake checked him) was trying to take Quattro from the line. Especially if he's on the stock bullsh*t tires.

I've owned and enjoyed a S4. I will never attempt to run any S or RS from a dig. Lol

Really? I came from a tuned FBO 335xi. They are quick cars and get power easily with a cheap tune. Pretty sure my 335 was faster than my Stage 2 s4 that I have right now. My 0-60 was 3.8 in my 335.

I made the mistake of doing a rolling start of a modified 335, just as soon as my SC boost ran out and his turbos were fully spooled. Man did i get pulled on, couple car lengths easily within seconds. From a dig would have been different. Mind you im stock though and he was stage 2 if not 3.

I got on a new 5.0 just the other day and I'm completely stock! He was running a crazy sounding exhaust I almost missed a shift not being able to hear my S4. When we got to the next light I gave him props on his exhaust.

Here in flat central Ohio, I usually hit Kilkare or National Trails and best I've seen a stock 5.0 hit is 12.7's. Most run 12.9 to 13.3'ish but then a see a lot of manual drivers / average guys, trying to get the launch down-pat. I LOL as two pedal fun is so freaking cool and fun that I won't ever be going back to a manual.

Mustangs are nice, typically sound great, have a great aftermarket and I'd own one for sure. However, most on the street are not great at stoplight races. 've embarrassed quite a few from a dig. I can do the same from a roll as they will hang close but haven't seen stock ones pull on me. I don't do much in the way of high-speed runs though but from legal freeway speeds to just over 100mph, no way. They usually just get mad and keep the pedal down and ricer-fly-by.
