2012 A6 3.0T Sunroof (One Touch Open/Close No Longer Working)

Hi All, new to forum and could not find answer or actual issue related to mine.
If you have a previous thread already please forward me there. Thank you

My issue is that I have to hold the sunroof switch to close or open it in my 2012 Audi A6 3.0T.

Usually one touch and it would open or close.

When i hold it, if held to long it will go past closing and open back up by either tilting or rolling back.

Need possible resolution for this issue.

    Thank you.

Sounds like a pinch protection problem. I believe that is handled by feedback to the motor. There may be a way to relearn the pinch limits but I'm not sure how to for the sunroof.
For the regular windows it is usually reset by holding the window switch up for a few seconds after it closes but as you stated in your case that does not look like it will work for the sunroof. Hopefully someone else has an idea.

With the car turned on, hold the sunroof switch in the down position for 60 seconds or so. You will hear a servo resetting the closed position adaptation. Turn the car off, then restart. Should do the trick. If the problem becomes chronic, it may be a symptom of the 5F controller going bad.

While I'm holding it down (pulling down) for the 60 seconds, it is fine if the sunroof is moving correct?
