While trying to fix an oil leak on the passenger' side rear timing chain cover on my Q7, I decided to look at the little chain guide that is located between the camshafts. This nylon guide just sits on a surface, and is held in place by chain tension, and a little nub that protrudes downward into a hole in the little ledge that it sits on. I hope my very unscientific explanation makes sense. As you can see the corners on one side have broken off and are probably down in the oil pan. I will try and get a replacement guide tomorrow. I have to get this thing back together for a long drive up to see family on Thanks Giving. Please see the pictures - feedback welcome. Thank You Audi-Gang!
