Running a cable from front to rear (Avant )

I am in the market for a 2 channel dash cam (1 front/1 rear) and am wondering what the easiest and least intrusive route would be to run the connection cable from front to back.

The front connection would be through the very front center of the headliner where the rear view mirror wires are from the domelight/sunroof controls.
The back would be ideally somewhere central near the rear dome light.

Would it be easier to follow the edge of the headliner along the driver's side roofline or better to go down the A-pillar to the floor and back along the door sill area the up behind the rear hatch panels?

I have recently pre-installed my backup camera in my Avant. I know you are talking about interior rear cam, not an outside backup cam, but I left the wiring so far behind the rear driver's side hatch cover. I will run that wire along and under the bottom door sill to the driver's A-pillar and then to the headunit.
If I were to do interior cam as you, I'd run it the same way, just because headliner is PITA, so dropping only the rear portion would be just as much as I'd want to wrestle with it.
I plan to run a front DVR cam too at some point as well.

Hope this helps and would love to see your setup when you're finished!

Thanks, I was thinking the lower path would be the longer route but easier as well.

I'll try to document what I do with photos and maybe create a DIY.
