How to remove TPMS error on Dashboard after activating and deactivating TPMS?

Hi,
I did something stupid.
I was browsing through the options in VCDS and came across the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) under "03-ABS Brakes". After successfully entering the module unlock code, I enabled the check box for both:

Bit 3 Tire Pressure Monitoring 1 (TPMS) active [PR-7k6] and
Bit 6 Auto-Hold Function (AVH) active [PR-UH2 / NOT FOR PR-B34/B35]

in the Byte 1 (second byte) window.
This led to the error "TPMS Tyre Pressure! System Malfunction" error to appear on my Driver Information System (DIS) display. As such, I went back to VCDS, unchecked the two check boxes back the way they were (see screen shots of the instruments module and ABS module, below). Again, the error remained on the dashboard. So then I did a auto scan with VCDS and cleared all the codes. Unfortunately, the error still appears on the dash (see below). After driving for 30min or so, the error remains. Doing a new auto-scan with VCDS reveals no error (only with one of the wing mirrors which is unrelated).

Would anyone have any suggestions on how I can clear the warning from the dash?

Thanks for the link. I hadnt come across that page before.
I tried what they were suggesting bar swapping back the original tyres to clear the codes- as I had the original tyres with no pressure sensors it wasnt that.

Dumbfounded, I ran another auto scan and still found no errors.
As a last ditch attempt, I disconnected the battery and connected it again. Low and behold, the lights and warning on the dash went out! :-)
I drove the car around and no error reappeared. So thankfully, it appears be fixed.

TPMS on the in tire version was handled by two modules. The actual signal receiver and then it handed status off to the instruments. I had to power cycle mine after recoding. I think the instrument module still looks for a status from the TPMS module and when it doesn't get a response it errors. The power cycle after coding i think helps it load up a clean set of modules to monitor or not monitor.
