Interior chimes intermittently stop working

Hi Folks, here's a goofy one...

Chime for turn signals and door-open have intermittently stopped working. Not a showstopper, just a strange one. Being an IT knucklehead, I always ask myself, "What's different?" The only thing that comes to mind is iOS 10 on my iPhone 6. It wasn't an issue before then. Now....about 2/3 of the time when I have my phone connected, there are no chimes. And I have no idea why they work 1/3 of the time. Similarly, they're intermittent when I disable bluetooth on the iPhone as well.

Something's off, and my OCD is yelling at my ADHD about it. I asked my local service department about it, and of course I got the, "Could not replicate..." feedback. I'm at a loss.

Any chance this has happened to you? If so, any chance you've ID'd a cause and/or a fix?

I'd be kind of surprised if it's related to your iPhone OS update, especially since you say you have the same problem sometimes when the phone isn't connected. It sounds like maybe you have a faulty speaker and or connection for the speaker used for the chimes. I believe that's in the instrument cluster, but I don't know how they'd confirm that though without pulling everything.

In terms of replicating it for them, maybe you can take a video the next time it happens so that there's evidence for them.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but any guesses as to what mysteriously started working again? Turn signals are once again audible. I have no idea why. Door-open is still silent (honestly, no complaint there). I can't identify anything new or different that would've prompted the change. Weird. Anyway, I mention it in case anyone else happens to be experiencing something similar, but you haven't mentioned it for fear of sounding like you're nutso. Fortunately I lost that fear years ago.

If I could get it to turn off my door open chime, I'd be happy.
I'm still beside myself howsomeone hast found that coding in Ross-tech. It's the most annoying beep we have in addition to the seatbelt chime.

I hate that door chime as hell! Drives me crazy, but at least I can shut it up by pressing the button under the wiper stalk to silence it.
Still need to get it coded permanently.

Well if you figure out the coding let us know. I don't think anyone has ever figured it out.
I've searched high and low and no one has found it.

I wish I could tell you how mine went silent so I could offer the coding! This is a weird one, but that is certainly my silver lining in all of this. Design? Meh...I'll take circumstance 10/10.
