AMI to female USB cable not working

does anyone have any experience with the AMI to female USB cables? when i plug it in the display says AUX and External audio source active. then once i plug my phone in via my lightning cable, it does not charge or stream my music..

The usb cable doesn't work with phones, its extremely annoying. Get an SD card, flash drive, mp3 player, or a Bluetooth adapter.

Yea, I just bought a SD card for $20 and it works perfectly

how about the AMI to 3.5mm cord.. does that one work?

It works but my glovebox doesn't close if I try to have the cable coming out of it and the sound quality isn't great. But, for $5 its worth it.

i guess the tune 2 air might just be my best option.. no i need to use my phone because all my music is on spotify :/

I bought the ami to aux cord in a 9 ft length
Works great and I'm able to close my glove and the music stays on

Hi guys. Couple of days ago I bought Audi A5 2.7 2007 and I notice there is only Ipod cable, no SD slots and no USB cable. So my question is, as I dont want to buy Ipod, will this cable fit my car?

There is no A5 with a 2.7 (not if you're in the US). There is no MY07 A5 anywhere. If it's a US A5, then I'd guess it's an MY08 A5 3.2L?

What's printed on the unit in the dash above the climate controls? Audi concert, Audi symphony, or Audi cd changer?
