    Attempting MMI 4610 Update - "error 152"

    Hey guys,

I'm a new member, but not new to the forum. I have an MMI issue. So I have a 2005 A6 C6 that has 0750 version and wanted to update to 04610. I have thoroughly researched updating my MMI and I've been reading different forums and I can't find my exact issue as this topic has been talked about many times.

So I purchased the actual 04610 discs from AudiUSA and there is 2 of them, 1st one being the bluetooth update and the other is the MMI update. I read/printed out instructions, updated my Nav maps to 2015 1st!

So the 1st discs runs fine up until it gets to 99% then it fails and gives me a error 152 I can't really find what that error is online, other than someone thought it could be a bad Bluetooth module. I just couldn't find any other forums that said the same thing. And I read that sometimes the 1st disc will give you an error the 1st or 2nd time, so I've tried it about 7 or 8 now and i get the same results. My MMI still works the same, so it failing has not messed up my current versions.

So I then decided to bypass the 1st disc and update the MMI, went through the options fine, but before it started the process it gave me a message basically stating that I couldn't proceed until disc one was updated.

Does anyone have any thoughts or solutions?

    Thank you!

I have attached pictures to see if that helps.

k I need to figure this out too! im in the same boat, except I just swapped out my Bluetooth module. I am updating from the same software as well, when I run the original 1st disc, it doesn't complete, and I get error 152 as well. im hearing a possibility that we may need to update to 3310 I believe first? and then to 46? im not sure, doesn't make sense why it wont work, as 4610 is a full build install.

You can't upgrade directly to 4610 from 075. You have to upgrade to 3310 first. Being the original owner of a 2005 4.2 I remember this problem well. By the way 3310 contains most of the improvements. 4610 is really overkill when you balance the improvements against the risk of frying the MMI hardware.

Thanks! I was just having a hard time finding the CD because most companies are currently selling 4610 and the dealership here in Atlanta want you to come in had have your car inspected 1st and then charge you hundreds of dollars to install it. It's just to much for something so simple. I purchased 4610 from AudiUSA but they no longer sell the older versions. And I didn't want to burn a copy at the risk of damaging my MMI.

But for anyone else looking, I found a site that does sell 4F0 906 961AB (3360) for $8.34 + $12.99 shipping. I will update once I get it. Thanks for everyones help!!
