    RNS-E removal tools

Can anyone suggest a quality removal tool for the RNS-E that actually works? I want to add an AUX input to mine, but I'm having trouble finding a removal tool that'll get it done. It seems like every review says they're pieces of junk that are flimsy and break, or they don't work at all with the RNS-E. These removal tools looked promising, but the first reviewer said they couldn't get it to work with the RNS-E, or these tools which the description says works with the RNS E, but everyone says they're flimsy pieces of junk and can break/get stuck easily.

I don't care about the price (to an extent) as much as I do getting a set that will remove it without headache. Even better if it's on Amazon (with prime) so I can get it in time for my drive for Thanksgiving.

    Thanks

Bought mine from eBay and They're fine. I have used the second set before ( or something very similar be used I remember the indentation on the handle) and those were fantastic. If you're bending these things then you're using them wrong. I've inserted them the wrong and have never had the got them stuck either. I just addedNaux cord to mine and you're gonna love it!

Same thing. Just find cheapest ones with rubber or plastic surround around the ring where your finger goes, unless you like to slice skin off your fingers.

Are they different? I have a symphony and just made a set using folder hangers.

I read on a site selling keys that there's revised ones. Only thing I can see different is they don't have the rectangle and square cut outs but also think they're longer

I bought the second set I listed above and of course they didn't work. I don't even care how much they cost, I just want a set of keys that will remove it!

Update - I found the official removal tool made by Audi (part # 8E0051530) and managed to find a set for sale on Amazon. https://parts.audiusa.com/p/Audi__/R...8E0051530.html

Where do you located? I am sure someone near you has a set to loan out.
BTW, When I had my B6, I bought a Symphony II and it came with a set of tool, I used the same tool on the RNS-E (Euro Version, not sure if it make any differences) upgrade later, no issue.

I have these and they are strong, precise and always work. Don't ever skimp on tools.

This. I bought an ebay set and the keys just didn't feel like they engaged the locks correctly making me nervous about forcing it. The last thing you want to do is break those locks. I bought the set from ECS Tuning as Concavitor mentioned and it took little force to unlock. It only takes a second to engage the locks if it fits right and I had no issues with sliced fingers.

I'm going to bump this as I have the last set linked from ECS (OEM Audi keys) and I can't for the life of me get them to click onto the RNS-E in my B7 RS4. Any tips or tricks?

Flip them over? I used cheap China keys and they worked fine
