B7 A4/S4/RS4 Carbon Fiber Vented Hood Painted Brilliant Red

I'm beginning to part out my S4 (which is for sale here: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...o-chain-rattle) and am offering my aftermarket hood for sale. It is made by VIS/Aerofunction using the old Vorsteiner design/mold after they stopped producing it. Further details of this hood can be found here: http://nickscarblog.com/reviews/b7-a...y-aerofunction. It cost over $1000 new and I spent almost $800 on body work to make the vents functional, add foam for rigidity, and paint/clear coat. If your car is Brilliant Red, this can be installed in 5 minutes using the OEM mounting hardware. If your car is a different color then you can just have the carbon masked off and have the rest of the hood repainted whatever color you like - the bottom side is flat black so it should be cheap to just paint the top side. Looks awesome and I get compliments all of the time, definitely adds an aggressive look without being over the top. It is INSANELY light, a good 30+ lbs weight savings over OEM, and functional cooling help keeps IAT down too. The hood has a few minor rock chips from daily driving but no major issues. Only selling it because I'm taking the car back to stock and selling...

Looking to get $800 obo, local buyers only...I will NOT ship.

That's a beautiful hood sir. GLWS. Decided against the hood pins though? Any risk there?

I'm sure there is a risk, but I've had the hood for four years and haven't had an issue...including several track days, and a few high speed runs (professional driver, closed course, don't try this at home kids). I'd still recommend them, and so does the manufacturer, but you should be pretty safe. The expanding foam in the hood added a little weight and rigidity, and the real trick is making sure you have it aligned correctly.

I appreciate the detailed reply, and again GLWS. If I wasn't buying every mount for my ride I'd seriously debate hopping on this. Nicely done.

This won't last long, wish it was in the budget, otherwise I'd be all over it! GLWS.
