    It was the belt that came with the 186mm crank pulley. I'm hoping that it doesn't happen again. $15 for a belt isn't so bad, but I don't want to have to keep replacing the $150 hood liner.

    Did you check both pulley ? It can happen when a pulley has defect/crack and moves from correct place.

    Yeah. They are fine. Four days of track use was probably a bit much for that belt.

    Mine did the same thing.

    I get the feeling that 6MT cars are MUCH harder on belts, especially if you do HPDE or make frequent trips to a 1/4 mile track.

    Rev limiter is hard on belts. Violent shifts, are hard on belts. Rev-matching and other things can be hard on belts.

    All things easy to do (sometimes even purposefully done) in a higher HP 6 speed (500+ crank).
