    The software is free when you have the cable. No it doesn't need to be unpaired. There are two versions though, one that only does up to ten Vin's and one that does unlimited VIN's.

    The above post is correct. The software can be downloaded from the ross-tech website. The license for the software is activated by the cable. The cable does not need to be unpaired from my car.

    lurker on these forums, but i'll take this. Q7 TDI is saying it needs a DPF cleaning, which I plan on working on this week. Figured I might need this after I start removing and screwing with stuff.
