    Warped/Wavy Dust Shields?

I've had my B8 S4 a few months and was putting winter wheels on today when I noticed the dust shields in the front were quite wavy or warped. Just checking....is this normal? Both sides have the shape but it looks quite odd; haven't seen this on my other cars prior. I have experienced vibration & noise at very high speeds twice but didn't think about it until now so I was thinking it could be the cause...all is good at normal speeds.

    A couple pics:

    Thanks,
    Nathan

That's normal. It's designed that way to pull heat away from the caliper when the car is in motion.

Ok - thanks for the replies everyone.

As for the vibration comment - I agree with your point it's just alarming to see the shape if you aren't used to it, made me think for a minute there was some damage from previous owner I wasn't aware of. I don't do 140+ often so the noise/vibration isn't high priority but i'll look into it further before I head to Germany again.
