It's been fun but I need to say goodbye to my S4. I've been the owner for about 6 years now and have repaired and modified as needed. There is a long list of upgrades. Sadly, it now has to go. It has been an ongoing and fun project car but I don't have the time anymore to enjoy it.
Good:
2000 S4 6-speed manual
126K on the chassis
Autospeed Stage 3 (400+ whp/420+wtq)
Audizine window stickers (+5whp)
Borg-Warner KO4 & Inlets
Bosch 044
AWE downpipes
AWE hi-flow cats
Borla catback exhaust (midpipe removed)
ST coilovers
H&R front/rear wheel spacers
Cabon Fiber intake w/ AEM cone dry performance filter
APR bipipes
ER side-mount intercoolers
OCarbon interior trim
ECS carbon fiber mirror caps
Sport package black trim
034 snub mount
034 Motorsport Motor mounts
034 rear sway bar
034 rear swaybar reinforcement brackets
Apikol rear differential mount
034 tranny mounts
New brake lines
All pixels work, had cluster fixed and silver dial trim installed
Engine replaced at 125K miles (with 103K miles on replacement engine)
All fluids drained, flushed and filled within last 1k miles (Mobil 1, Fuchs, etc)
New full timing belt/water pump job (2Bennett Audimotive did the work)
Aluminum thermostat housing
No CEL or misfires, runs and pulls very strong. Its a quick car for sure.
All windows work, door locks work, Bose radio, etc. Leather seats are in great shape. Barely used the back seats.
Bad:
Could use valve cover gasket job
Airbag light is on
Control arms are original
Little storage basket thing on the back of passenger seat is broken
Headliner is starting to sag in the back
Syncros are okay but original so may be getting tired...it does have slight grind "feeling" going into 3rd and Reverse but I've always just babied it and had no problems. I actually think its more a shifter alignment issue with the Reverse but wanted to mention it.
**Paint needs complete overhaul, clear coat was done poorly and has pretty bad orange peel. Was in the middle of sanding/buffing it out...but I'm over it. I don't have the patience to keep at it and definitely I don't have the time. I was going to just vinyl wrap it or plastidip but my wife convinced me that I can't keep spending money on this car.
Mechanically this car is great but needs paint work. Great project for somebody with buffing skills. Not interested in parting this out which would net me a LOT more money. My loss can be someones gain. Motivated seller!
Will throw in all the spare parts that I've been collecting as well to clean up some garage space (stock airbox, MAF housing, extra coils, 2x clear-cornered headlight housings, stock cats, piggie pipes, misc. parts).
Title in hand. Cash offers only. *PRICE DROP* $6750 OBO. Located in NorCal (wine country).
