    SPC control arms hitting tower

I had a control arm tear a boot and wear out. I bent the inner fender in to make clearance. After a good hard drive I checked the new arm. I must have compressed the suspension hard. The arm came all the way up and contracted the tower. Has anyone had this happen? Camber is 1.2 Caster 6.0

Same here. I dremeled out a small crescent section same as ChobeG. It's been awhile, but I think SPC even mentioned it may be required in some installations.

Not the fender. I already made clearance there. The arm came all the up into the tower, where the cover goes on.

Yes, it's from being too low. I've hit my stock arms on that part from bottoming out the chassis on the road. I have the scrapes on the bottom of my car to prove it. Lol. I put my bump stops back in (cut shorter) and it seems like that has helped quite a bit in limiting the travel of my suspension.

Mine (SPC) pop out the covers all the time. Never really cared much or put much thought towards it. I just chalked it up to the cost of doing business for being low.

I think I solved my problem. I measured the gap between the jam nuts and shortened arm by .13" on both sides. I took the car for a drive and hit some big dips. No hitting.
