Hi all I was wondering if anyone can help. I've got a 2009 a4 that I've done a 2014 b8.5 facelift conversion on, now the preface lift had xenon drl headlights and the facelift I've done has the new style xenon drls. My problem is the drls and side lights. main beam & high beam all work but the side lights don't and when I switch the side lights on I get an side light fault, Also the drls only work with no lights on when I turn the lights on eg the main beam I get a drl fault come up on the screen. Will I need to code the newer headlights or rewire the plugs does anybody have the codes. Thanks James

If you mean the fenders, then yes its needed. The innerscreens(the plastic/fabric behind the fender) or whatever its called is not necessary to swap.

Good to know. The fenders are spot welded on correct?
I ask cause I was looking to do the rear and find a b8.5 quarter panel to have a body shop swap for me

Not to derail but does using b8.5 quarter panels affect the rear doors of are they the same

Hi the conversion cost me around £2000 I only changed the front as the 2014 face lift rear is identical so u don't need to change the quarter panels or rear doors. I striped a 2014 shell for the parts and there's no difference to the rear infact no difference to the whole shell. The front you need the wings bonnet head lights the head light brackets the metal reinforcers for the front wings inner splash guards front bumper. It isn't a hard task ive just got the head lights to get working properly with out the error codes. I'll pop so pics up when I get a chance.
