exhausts on these cars are just noise makers. very good noise makers tho. chances are you'll end up with both and more.

with stage 1 and 2, the stock exhaust gets a little bit louder, good enough while you save some more $ for the exhaust. Go chip first.

I think it's a tough question but ultimately you gotta go w/ the power. That said, every mile i put on this car without an exhaust frustrates the hell out of me as I feel like I can't get the full experience since she's as quiet as a pussy cat.

I think only you can decide. I went with noise first because even if it's "slower" it feels more exciting to me. That and I wanted to wait for one of the major services before tuning it sooo yeah

Powah. You might get tired of the exhaust and not like the sound as much. You'll never get tired of the powah.

Both. But, I'd probably go with the exhaust first f I had to pick one. Sound contributes so much to the driving experience, and makes the car far more enjoyable, even when you're not hooning.

Stage 2 now and a couple hundred bucks do the x-pipe mod so you can go fast and have some acoustics to match. Later down the line get the awe system.

I would go with exhaust, especially if it's awe. If you're wanting to go stage 2 I would recommend saving more for an upgraded boost cooler & 034 street density motor mounts also.

I vote stage 2. The engines in these cars sound like crap anyways, why try and make that louder ... plus it can drown out the only nice sound IMO... the supercharger whine :) Yes, opinions are like ... but you asked.

Generally V6's are not terribly mellifluous, and many of them, when they are running fairly open exhaust sound downright terrible! I had a '72 Vega panel wagon with a Buick 235 cid V6. It had an intake and a big carb, tubular headers, big, high flow mufflers, and at idle and low throttle it was tolerable, but the sound was awful at mid to full throttle. Even V6 F1 cars sounded like canned a$$. The S4 is pleasing in the cabin, much louder and I wouldn't be happy with it on a day to day basis. I would be very happy with a solid performance increase though!

depends on what floats your boat. I personally can't justify the cost of an exhaust on the S4. All it is is sound for everyone else. I keep my soundakator in Comfort mode and it's perfect for my tastes. I want a "real" exhaust but for the prices which are stupid, no way. Especially since it's near zero gains in performance. I don't want a luxury sedan that sounds like ass inside and to do it right it's pricey.

Stage II without a doubt. No way I could live with the car in stock form after driving a tuned one. Night and day performance.

Both. Just compromise on each. Stage 1 and single exhaust. Upgrade to stage 2 and get the other exhaust pipe side later on.

Go EPL as they're have Black Friday sale this week for Stage 1 and 2 http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...T-Group-Buy***

Best part is you can flash yourself and flash back to stock tune if needed to bring car in for service.

Can always pick up a used AWE exhaust when they come available.

^This also. Stage II without question. Exhaust is overpriced and only adds cool sound. Stage II will give you adrenaline rush every time and the confident to play with most cars on the streets.

Same here .. I actually don't mind the soundakator.. my music is so loud you hardly hear it. I still haven't heard an exhaust that justify the price to performance for me personally .. best exhaust I ever heard was lenti's custom setup and that's over videos not in person

Stage 1 is just a tune. (374 WHP)
Stage 2 is a smaller SC pulley and a tune. (388 WHP)

Biggest difference with stage 2 is area under the curve resulting in a much harder pulls.
