Hi I just got some b7 s4 rear calipers and carriers for my 02 a4 now I'm in the market for some rotors would like to see if anyone could suggest a good set i was debating on geting just sloted or drilled and sloted.
I've head that if there drilled after casting they may cause cracking?

I also have some credit to rock auto and see they have some stoptech rotors.

I got my Centric drilled rotors, stainless lines, B7 S4 calipers and stoptech carbon fiber pads from Rock Auto. I use motul RBF 660 fluid and a schwaben bleeder. Got it all for a very cheap price.

Stoptech = Centric. I also get mine from RockAuto.
Look for the ones with the painted hubs and I would personally choose blanks for a street car.

    Agreed with above.
I went with Ate Premium One rotors and I'm happy with them. Just another option.

Do you already have S4/B7 front brakes on?

I just bought the cheap centrics and painted the hats myself, no issues with rusting as of yet, I find the really really cheap rotors seem to get an orange haze almost over night.

I have some s5 fronts for sale but,

I just got some 17z for the front still need rotors for thoes also, was looking at geting the Volvo v70r rotors. there's a guy that I found on eBay says he has Geniune brembo rotors for the v70r that are "harmonically balanced"
Either slotted and drilled for just slotted.
    Not forsure on thoes yet

I think I will get some stoptech from rock for the rear. I kinda wanted slotted or drilled but not to sure dose it eat though pads that much quicker ?
I still haven't looked into the schematic with brake pad differences.
I'm not really hard on the breaks unless I need to be. Of course with this setup I realize it will be different then before.

The combo I have is perfect. It does not eat through the pads and it does not leave black powder all over the wheels. It's a really good setup. Best one I've ever run in a car. Also to be honest a fairly cheap set up as well. Fantastic breaking for very cheap. Drilled rotors do not eat through pads at least not the ones I have. Slots however are designed to cut the pads with each rotation. Which is not something you want on a street car. Or any car in my opinion.

Thanks I think I will have to try your setup for the rear. that makes sense that the slots would cut like that.
I was under the impression that it would be less abrasive if it was slotted.

I sourced a set of the B7 A4 brakes for mine. The guy I bought the hardware for also had a set of Hawk HPS pads and Sector 27 rotors for the rear which I also picked up for a good price. Went with the same for the fronts.

Very smooth effortless braking, and don't seem to get any brake dust. They weren't cheap, but they weren't expensive either.
