    Will one from a 2000 year ATW work? Looks like the vendors online sell them for 96-01 1.8t as the same part, manual or auto ..

    whatever vendor you're looking at, they have it wrong. 01 they changed it and manual and auto are different also. As far as i know the only axles that are the same as an AWM quattro manual axle is a 2.8 manual quattro. Thanks for the reply though!
