2000 audi tt. 1.8t quattto. I'm not looking for nothing fancy. My car is all stock. What I'm wanting to know is. Should I upgrade to a short ram intake that stays by the battery box. Or should I get something that goes down behind the bumper in the air vent. I figure a short ram will suck in hot air. But the bumper would be cooler. The short ram is metal pipe and the bumper one is plastic flex pipe. I don't wanna spend alot. I'm wanting a fmic but don't have the cash for it because u had to buy a new ccm. So if Yall could give me the pros and cons and what I should get thanks!

You're likely going to be told to just search the forum yourself, your car is 16yrs old and the engine has been on many iterations of Audi cars so imagine how many times this has already been covered on here. In short, the pros of either option are essentially none, save that money to use towards a tune or if you're short on cash like you outline, save for maintenance. That's my 2 cents.
