Milltek Warranty

So this may seem like an odd request but does anyone have the race version exhaust for Milltek? I'm dealing with a warranty issue and in order for me to get my new exhaust sent to me they need pictures of the ID tags and since mine is a bit aged the tags are pretty much unidentifiable. I've been arguing with them for almost a month now about their exhaust developing these pinhole sized leaks through the entire exhaust. They're blaming it on fuel additives but I don't even use anything besides blending e85 and when I questioned why their exhaust can't handle "race gas" they ended up ignoring me for almost a week. Dealing with them has been like pulling teeth and now they're finally starting to actually work with me and replace the parts that are corroding but this is all that's preventing me from getting taken care of so if anyone could get pictures of their ID tags that are actually readable it would help a fellow Audi owner out a lot. There's nothing wrong with your I'd tag.... it's clearly legible. send them that. Each exhaust has a different serial per system. Somone sending you their tag would allow you to cash in on their warranty and not your own....

Well apparently every part of the exhaust has a tag and the one I showed is the only one legible so I'd still need the tags on the down pipes and the two rear sections of the exhaust. I understand what you're saying about the different serials tho and did have a friend share his so I will compare and see how true that is. I would hate to do that and take someone's warranty.

I'll chime in here as the resident "Milltek guy". I've been importing and distributing Milltek since 2004 so its fair to say no one in the Western Hemisphere is more knowledgeable about their product than I am. I can say with 100% certainty and honesty that I've never seen this sort of issue before, EVER. I also know that Milltek has always been very good about handling any sort of warranty claim. I handle maybe a handful of claims per year, if that. If there's something I can do to help you with this, please reach out to me.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with that tag at all! Clear and legit!

It really reminds me of my AWE claims. I had rattling issues with my AWE resonators after running them for about 3 years.

Called AWE, John@AWE Tuning took a good care of me. Then I followed their instructions:
1. Filed warranty claim through AWE website
2. Took some pics & scanned the original receipt
3. Sent them over
and after 3 weeks my replacement resonators got delivered

Shit happens and we can't avoid them 100%, but how they handle the cases like these would definitely make a brand stand out! I hope someone from Milltek will get you covered soon
