just got my speaker adaptors from Nexxia

and when puting back the foam sound insulation i have this piece remaining part number 600867381 its foam and looks like it should stick somewhere i just cant see where...kind of stupid but i dont know if its needed.

if anyone knows where it goes please let me know. Door will be apart for the whole week due to no window regulator yet so i have time.

speaker adapters for the rear deck lid? or front doors? ive been looking for front door speaker adapters to fit atleast a 5-1/4 instead of a 4".

ill have pics tomorrow after ...ill take a look at the other door if i dont find where it goes ill post a pic. And NYO2S the speaker adaptores came from England company is called nexxia...look on AW they have the link for the store. its the 130mm front door adaptors that allow you to fit 5 1/4 speakers. Back ones are sold by the aswell.

The company is reputable and has very fast shipping.

what is 11.99 euro?? that site doesnt have a currency converter

did you buy the ones for the front doors as well(130mm)? cause from the pics it doesnt look like a 5-1/4" would fit in there.

well i bought mine from somewhere else, and 94jedi has the same type. im not sure what you need help with, but it was really simple to install them.

yep, thanks Eurotuned!!! they worked great for me. My 5.25 was a bit larger I guess and I had to put a spacer between the adapter ring and the speaker so that the rubber suround wouldn't hit the adapter. Luckily the magnet isn't too large so it didn't hit the window or interfere with anything. The rears fit perfectly.

yeah, maybe it was the type of speaker. mine didnt hit the adapters at all. i was actually surprised how well they all worked out. BTW, hows your stereo coming along?

It's going well actually....the doors are a pita to put back on properly and I had to do all sorts of "custom" or "ghetto fab" stuff so it took me a little while longer than I had expected. but yes, it's coming along well. I'll tkae pics of the finished product.

Do the new adapters screw into the door panel mounting tabs or where the speaker itself was originally?

Ive been doing installations for about 6years now and ive seen speaker adapters be off by a 1/4"-1/2" all around. Thats why all the questions.

yeah, the adapters screw into the 3 holes the stock speaker uses. the top hole, is also used as the 4 hole for your new speakers though so you need a longer screw for that one. hope that makes sense.

ill get you the website when i go home today. they are a little spendy, but well worth it. just make sure you only order 1 set of each. i accidently ordered 2 sets of adapters for teh front and 2 for teh rear...lol.

the screw right in. an easy alternative to having some custom stuff made.
