    What's up everyone. A little while ago our 2013 Quattro started to produce a squeling sound when coming to a slow stop. It went in for service today, I asked them to check it out, and was told it is normal when the weather gets cold. Looking it up online it seems like a lot of people have had the issue, so far I have not seen anyone find a permanent solution for the issue. Anyone here used a specific brand of pads that might solve it?

    Every car I know of. Ugh. It drives me up the wall.

    rebedding the brakes will make it go away for a few days.

    Actual solution is to change pads.

    Oh man that's what I was afraid of. Any recommendation what pads? Brembo? Someone said they put Akebonos and it stopped.

    I've observed the same thing on my stock rotors/pads over the past two years. When the weather starts to cool down in Fall, the brake squeal starts to come alive. Just a fact of life with those pad compounds. Mine started coming back about 2-3 weeks ago. Most noticeably int he early mornings and evenings.

    It goes away once they're up to operating temps / hot.

    Glad to see Im not the only one with this issue. I bought the car used and I started hearing the squealing under light braking when the temperature dropped. It drives me insane!!!
