My adjuster says it's more than likely totaled.

On the positive side, I'll get about $5k back from AAA cancelled warranty refund in addition to the total loss check.

On the fence about another DSG S4 or S5 with a stick. Still in mourning RN

    Unhappy

Ouch. Hope your neck & back are ok (seriously). Sorry for your loss but treat yourself to something nice for your next car if possible!

I really look forward to more of the newer safety gear like cross-traffic detection, auto brake application etc making its way into all cars regardless of price. There's WAY too many distracted hits now.

I took a good shot like that in my 04 G35 about 10 years ago from a distracted teen driver while at a stoplight. Not totaled but a lease so no worries.

My current S5 got winged in 2014 by someone blowing a red light at 40+mph WAY late and if I had left .5 sec earlier she would have t-boned me pretty hard. She had to be distracted to not see the traffic light had turned red for her 5+ seconds earlier.

for reals, how is your back/neck? Someone ran into the back of my moms car when i was driving it a few years ago (very minor compared to yours) and even that tweaked my back a bit and i've had some problems ever since.

sucks about the car though. Might be fun to try something different instead of jumping back in to an S4/S5

That sucks, sorry for the loss but glad to hear you're OK. I totalled my s4 last month, ended up in a 15 s5 with a stick.

Trust me you will not regret getting a b8.5 S5, I've never been happier. I'm with @doug97gxe

Damn Adam! Glad you are ok. At least you won't need to borrow someone's cat to pass emissions anymore!

Edit, didn't realize you didn't have the A4 anymore lol
