The Grey Chapter // TAG Motorsports // Matte Nardo Grey R8 and RS7
Arguably one of the most iconic and hottest colors from Audi, Nardo Gray has always had a soft spot in our hearts. When we ordered our RS7 Performance in Nardo Gray, we knew right away that going for the stealth look and covering the car in matte clear bra was a possible choice. After a small sampled area turned out awesome, we gave the green light on the car’s second day. Fast forward a few months, and one of our great friends and friend to the community, Erik Dietz, decided his 1 of 1 Nardo Gray R8 V8, which also happens to be the last R8 ever made with a manual transmission, needed a makeover. He arrived at the same conclusion we did: Matte Nardo Gray. And boy, did it pay off.
Suddenly, every cress on either car was that much more enjoyable. Smooth lines with a smooth color, fading down from light gray to dark. We were in love at first sight.
Both the RS7 and the R8 come fully individualized, from HRE’s, to TAG blackout packages, to completely new suspension setups, a v8 symphony thanks to aftermarket exhausts, carbon fiber add ons and more. When we realized just how different these two cars were yet how similar, we understood these two ferocious machines arrived at the same place via different roads.
