Anyone ever break their scissor jack?

Our minivan had a flat tire on the side of the road, and so I went in the Audi to go change the flat. Stupid Sienna car jacks are literally welded into the subframe, so I decided to use my beautifully designed Audi "widow maker" jack. Things went great until I was just about to put my jack stand under the car when the silver jack holder decided to collapse. I tried to hammer the jack back into place but no luck.

Fortunately the van was not too far away so went back home, got my real (and friggin' heavy) jack and tire changed :) Anyway, now I have a useless jack in my possession. Anyone else had this issue? Any substitutes to recommend that would fit nicely in the cargo area and not rattle around? Thanks!

Destroyed mine on the side of the road. Seated correctly and the car shifted. Luckily my spare was already in the wheel well because that Jack blew apart and my only saving grace was my rotor falling into the inside of the spare rim. I don't know of replacements because the stock one just doesn't seem sturdy enough...at all...and I haven't looked into an aftermarket replacement.

The jack is a piece of shit. Had it collapse on me and i would of been seriously hurt if not i had the wheel under the subframe.

I'd love to have a sturdy scissor-jack, as they're super light and mobile. Or is that an oxymoron?

I've been using mine to swap the winter and summer wheels in my driveway, but it always looks like it's leaning when in-use.
