Anyone using aftermarket shift knob?

I'm making one for myself tonight actually. Printed a couple with a 3D printer.

I use a weighted billet eBay one. Same size as stock, similar style works and looks fine. I keep a sock cover thing in the car so it doesn't get hot.

Plan to get a bfi air leather one eventually.

I went to machine it tonight and my professor told me he would have his highschoolers finish it on a CNC lathe. (He's a highschool machining teacher if you didn't figure that out yet). I should have it back sometime early next week. It's made from black delrin with a brass slug inside to add weight. It's your standard rounded style that gets skinnier as it gets closer to the base. It also has a knurl on it for added grip. I 3D printed a few of them in my other class as prototypes leading up to what I'm doing now. Kinda excited about it.

Are you going to make a thread for this? I've been following progress in IBS and other threads, I think it deserves it's own.

How about a "DIY" shift knob thread? I would contribute to a thread like that.... A while back I started on a 3D model for a 3D-printed knob but haven't worked on it in a while. Probably just need the right motivation.
