My car never burned any oil to my knowledge. I used mobil 1 every 4500 miles. Never had start up rattle that everyone else experienced. Think 20k is a fair price considering all the mods and maintenance put in. Here is a link showing most of the process

Haha, your price is actually pretty laughable. I think the guy who bought mbgt72's old Supercharged B7 only listed it for like 15k and it had tons more mods.

I've got nearly the same mods on my Avant, PLUS headers, but no JHM manifold. I doubt I'd be able to get 14-15k. $20K is beyond reason. Mods add maybe 50% value when on the car, and that is being generous

I uaed his car as an example. That car had $25-30k of mods on it alone. Or it could have gotten a different motor for a couple thousand and been good to go.

And yes there are more possible mods: Coils, adj control arms front&rear (pretty sure you sold both of those), subframe bushings (front&rear), diff mount, sway bar and links, jhm oil cooler, snub bracket, B7 console, nav, aftermarket wheels or seats, flat bottom SW, big brake kit, limited slip diff, 4:1 center diff, he'll limited slip front diff, longer 6th gear, HD heads, roof rack, plus I'm sure there's more I've missed

My point is mods&maintenance only adds so much to the value of the car. Usually it is just a tiny percentage of what the person spent getting it there. That's why people often take mods off before selling to recoup some of their investment (exactly like what you've been doing). $20k for a B6 with over 100k miles isn't gonna happen. Even if it had a SC or nitrous, airride, fancy wheels, and all maintenance it's not very likely

Buying another motor doesn't mean it wouldve solved an oil burning issue. Wasnt there a guy who went through like 4 used motors from salvage yards? Im not selling a car with oil burning or chain rattle. "If" someone were to buy it they shouldn't have to worry much about anything.only driven about 2-3k miles so far after finishing it up

Kudos to everyone whos put more time & money than i have into their cars and sold less than 15k. I just cant see myself doing it. Always cheaper s4s out there but doubt theyd have everything replaced as my car does.

Shit, my nog blue avant/alacantra seats, 6 speed with 106k miles on it and fully bagged/exhaust/mounts as well as other things must be worth at least $30k!

    Just kidding, GLWS!

meh, avants are slower and over-rated. just my opinion. like i said just a feeler for someone who wants and s4 with nearly everything as far as maintenance and mods addressed.only major parts that aren't new is the alternator and a.c. pump and i hardly used mine so it should still be good for a while. But if this too steep for potential buyers then good luck taking a chance spending 8~15k on an undocumented b6/7 s4.

Nice car, but it really is very overpriced. Honestly, 11-13k is to be expected assuming it's clean.

Don't take an offensive approach to the comments, market dictates value, not what you spent on it.

I am not going to suggest a value, but it's probably worth about what a high end/semi-exotic used car dealership would ask for a bone stock one with similar miles... privet party, records & Quality mods = trust for the dealer markup

Over rated? More room, more rare = over rated? Each to his own, but that's about the silliest comment I have ever heard. And who cares if its slower, the B6 S4 isn't a race car, no matter how much money you pump into it!

GLWS, I hope you get some of what you put in buddy!

Were the valve seals done?did their car have all guides/tensioners done w/jhm sprockets, & upgraded aluminum center guide. Did they have brand new starter, ignition, fuel pump, water pump, new head gaskets with new head studs. Did they have all new coilpacks and plugs, &all four o2 sensors at once.atleast mine is documented ive replaced /addressed too many future issues during the time it was down. And have put 2k miles on her currently. Shes a beast

i have to side with s4orgy here. its not about the performance work as much as the labor cost savings for doing all of the maintenance work. good luck buying a 6-7k s4/allroad and dumping in a ton of money on parts and then paying for labor. obviously this does not take into account the people who can do work themselves or have access to very affordable parts.

edited because posting from a phone sux.

Put it up for sale and see what happens. The market has spoken here. Perhaps you can pull one over on someone who doesnt understand American currency. But if you can more power to you.

S4Orgy, I appreciate the time and effort you put into your car, I really do.

This is an RS4, with similar mileage, and costs $22k Canadian ($16,404 USD). Might want to adjust your valuation.

Why aren't people buying Canadian RS4s?

Because they would have to import them and don't want to deal with asking Audi for a letter saying it's the same as an American one.

Between this pricing and this thread (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...w-s4orgy/page3) I would be extremely careful. GLWS, but that is way above market value.

Pricing seems all over the place. Considering you have done the timing and valve stem job that should be worth a lot for someone looking to own one of these beastly grocery getter's.....

Given the amount of maintenance / mods you have into it wouldn't be worth selling for less than 15+ range just have to find a buyer that wants a modded example to save some dough.

Haha maybe 5+ years ago this would attract a buyer north of the boarder - one would be close to 30k bringing this back to Canada today with exchange rate and fees....

They are. Mine was in Canada. I paid marginally more than the OPs asking price for a mint '08 RS4 with 78k miles.

    For the OP: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endowment_effect

You'll either have to drop the price by 5-7k or keep the car, it's not worth what you're asking.
