Tensioner Bounce After Alternator

Hey everyone, just recently changed my tensioner and alternator becuase of the usual clutch pulley seizing.

The rattling went away however, the tensioner is still bouncing just as much as before. My dampner pulley looks like its bouncing a bit but may just the outter rim. Ill try and grab a video.

I do get a vibration in the car at idle. Not sure where to go from here...i appreciate any help...

My tensioner bounces as well....I wonder if this is normal.

Thats the tensioner allowing for play in the belt - its doing its job.

Thanks for the replies, hope its normal never seen it on any other car. even my 1.8 gti doesnt do this. Ill keep my eye on things seems to be running ok for now.

A non-seized overrun clutch should make it bounce less as I understand it - though my B6 (with unknown condition, likely seized clutch) bounces a lot more than my GTI with a fixed pulley, go figure...

Yeah exactly not really sure why it bounces just as much. My gtis tensioner barely moves

The tensioner could be worn it only a spring.But they do bounce.If it bouncing alot it possible its worn and need to be replaced.But normally you would have a squealing belt to go with it due to lack of tension.

Without a video a little bounce sounds normal as you describe, nothing to do with your vibration.
