It is pretty easy, similar to other cars.
I don't believe anything is stored on the cluster itself so you should just be able to swap them.
Lower the steering wheel all the way.
Remove the trim. (It just pops off, drivers vent will also come off. On B8.5 you will need to either unclip it or remove the plug on the back)
Undo the 3 screws (See pic)
Undo the latch on the back
