Back in an S4 :)

Hi Folks,

I'm happy to report that I'm finally back in an S4. My previous S4 was an 04 6MT Avant, which I regrettably sold a few years back. After driving a MK5 GTI for 9 years I decided it was time for a proper upgrade. I just picked up a 2013 24K Mile CPO S4 pretty much fully loaded with the sports diff. I can't believe I waited this long. This car is awesome and while I loved my B6, Audi did an amazing job with this generation. But I don't have to tell you guys, you already know!

LOVE that b6 avant!! I had a b6 nogaro sedan... Welcome back! The b6 was great in so many ways, fit, finish, interior quality, and V8 sound! the b8.5 is a much more refined automobile, if you modify the b8.5 it really becomes the best daily driver out there!

Welcome back. I've the interior, I would just be afraid of dirt/dark buildup on the white. Good luck with the ebony and ivory.

Are the seat inserts white or silver? I assumed silver...

I used the stair attachment on my carpet shampooer to try to pull some of the dirt out of the seats. The water that came out was basically black, but there wasn't much of a change in the seat/it didn't look much cleaner. However, it doesn't seem to pick up too many stains - mine really hasn't gotten noticeably worse in the 1.5 years that I've owned the car. Also I'm kind of surprised to see just how little the interior has changed in 10+ years!

Congrats to a fellow Panda owner, it really makes the interior unique. Haven't had any upkeep issues with mine in the past three years and it still looks good.

Appears you bought it from Valenti in Watertown, did you deal with Jim Henry there? If so, he's a good guy.

Thanks again gang! I wasn't aware of the "Panda" moniker lol, so that was funny. I love the combo.

@ dean.mohr & MrFunk - It's officially called Lunar Silver. I wasn't crazy about the combo against my silver B6 as it looked more white and didn't match exactly, but it looks much better against a contrasting color, such as black or red. I have to stay on the kids to keep their feet off the seats, and limit the eating in the car, but I survived my last car and it wasn't too bad to upkeep. I just had to gently use a clothes shaver to keep the alcantara tight if it got matted over time.

@ sacandagaD - I worked with Mike Devine. He's a fairly new sales guy and was great to work with. Overall a positive experience with Valenti.

I don't have any kids in the car, so YMMV on the alcantara, but only issue so far was a ballpoint pen mark that was my fault. But I got it out completely by blotting it with rubbing alcohol.

Glad to hear you had a good experience with Valenti. Going there tomorrow for an oil change.
