    Sun Visor Clips Broke

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi guys,

So got in my car the other morning and went to pull down my Visor and the clip on the right (closest to rear view mirror) just broke. I didn't even pull hard or anything. Went to go see why it broke and the same thing happened to the passenger side.

Does anyone have the part numbers for them and anyone ever swap them?

It's the plastic piece and not the metal part.

    Thanks

You are not the 14th person to have this issue. Apparently, it is an un-German-like, under-engineered part whose designer was shot at dawn three months ago. Anyway, if your dealer doesn't have some in stock, they should be available somewhere online without costing your left nut.

I just had the same issue. Bought one from Europaparts.com and fit exactly as it should and a little cheaper than the dealer. https://www.europaparts.com/sun-viso...57562aj50.html

    back from the dead.

gf decided to hulk smash the visor back into the clip and broke it off. I see a bunch of options on europaparts site but not sure which is the right one to replace the black clip in 16SQ5.

i'm taking a guess maybe this one? https://www.europaparts.com/sun-viso...57562a4pk.html

Also how hard is this to replace? does the cover just pop off and then pull out the broken clip base?

    any help?
    thanks.

I can't advise on color but yes, the cover pops off and then pull out the broken clip base.

These are consumables on Audi's so I'd advise ordering a spare or two.

My son broke my passenger visor clip on the way home from the dealer. Stay away from the cheap knockoffs on Amazon that look a little more chiseled. They do not fit well at all.

Sadly not any more robust than OEM, but the second one has now held up for a little over 2 years

Takes 2 seconds to take the cover off. Just need a strong fingernail or pry tool. After that, the actual broken part just comes off the headliner easily. Part number for my black part is 8E0 857 562. Amazon has these 2 for $10 shipped.

And the Chicom copies are even worse. Let it hang or buy OE.
