I had a B7 A4 and for me the hinge broke on my glovebox, i found a company on ebay that maked retrofit hinge replacements. Those glove boxes arent cheap. I hope this helps.

Hey I appreciate it. My hinges are actually ok. Its the leather cover on the lid itself that has come detached from the door. So it just hangs. I failed to notice the piece of black duct tape holding it in place when I bought it.

I have a gray one, has broken tabs though(I'm assuming you could swap from your current one). I'm converting the glovebox in my B6 to have a roll out laptop shelf, so I have no need for it. PM me an offer, or let me know if you have any goodies to trade.
