    Since the oil pan is plastic, has anyone cracked the oil pan due to road debris, etc?

    I'm sure it has happened but I haven't seen it yet. If concerned could get a skid plate. Since you have a belly pan under there you probably would need to run over something pretty substantial to get to it. Car has surprisingly good ground clearance in stock height.

    Did some googles searches and it looks like it has happened.

    Will the dealership charge a few more bucks when changing oil if there is a skid plate installed?

    I'm pretty sure a hole is cut out for the drain plug but I could be wrong

    Unless one plans on taking the car off-road I wouldn't worry about it. If it does happen, then you have a valid argument unless you have cash burning a hole in your pocket!!!!
