What websites do you guys use?

Hey guys,

This is probably a dumb question or has been posted somewhere else, but I'm looking around for a 6MT B8 S4 in the DC Area. I've been looking around on all the standard websites such as the classifieds here on Audizine, Cars.com, Autotrader, Craigslist, etc. but often do not find much. Do you guys have any other outlets that you would recommend to broaden the search?

Yes, I know this is kinda a broad question and try not to bash me too much, I'm just the new guy looking for someone else's opinion.

TrueCar.com and CarGurus.com are great. Not only does it provide good results, it tells you if the price is Good, Overpriced or you're getting an amazing deal

Another nod to CarGuru's as well. I used it and AutoTrader the most. CarMax is another source, they don't seem to cross post their vehicles on AutoTrader or the other sits, they seem to only post their listings on their site.

You're probably going to have to widen your search outside of the DC area if you're not finding much... When I was shopping I was looking nationwide... It wasn't very fun.

True. Be open minded. Best deals are sometimes out of state. Im in Florida and bought mine from Maryland. Got it maybe $8k cheaper than anything 500Miles around me with lower miles.

+1 for CarMax, all over the country and they'll ship it if you want that car, for a fee of course.

Autotrader and Carguru here. Took me 3 months to find my S4. Interestingly enough, I ended up finding it less than 2 miles away from my house at an Infiniti Dealership.

The only downside to CarMax is that they will always be on the higher end of pricing. Idk why they sell their cars more expensive than most,but just make sure you check the CarFAX and compare pricing before you jump on a deal

Yep, they're usually higher, sometimes they don't price all the options out though so you may get a good deal, saw a s6 with bo option that was priced right!

Autotraders.com. 6MT cars are not plentiful. Looked last week and there were 2 in the Philly area .

Lol, it's just funny that you have to pay more to get the black optics package that every a4 gets, and lots of a4 try and replace their mirrors with the chrome. Always greener on other side huh?

Go to AoA's chat and provide them with the VIN.

There wasn't an engine code for the sports diff for whatever reason so that is your best bet.

While you're at it also ask them about Audi care, warranty and maintenance they have on file.

Couldn't agree more with CarGurus saved me a ton of money not only on my trade in value but also on the purchase of my b8.5 - almost $5k in savings on the purchase.

I just bought a 2014 S4 6MT last week and used Autotrader, cars.com, and cargurus. I'm located in eastern KY, and I found one in Louisville, but upon expanding my search radius, I found one about 900 miles away in Massachusettes for less money/mileage and it had every option. Louisville S4 that I test drove had no options, so I went with the other one. I'm in the process of getting it shipped and it should be here tomorrow! I'm super excited to join the Audi family, and good luck with your search!

I subscribe to all the sites mentioned. Lately, my favorite has been iseecars though. I think it's awesome. It tells you if a car's overpriced or a good deal by market, etc etc but it seems to pick up all the other listings better. I've been keeping an eye out for a used Porsche Cayman. I just can't help myself. I love those freaking cars. Check out iseecars. I think you guys will like it.

FWIW, I bought mine from Audi in Atlanta. Flew down from Maryland, and they put me up in the Ritz. Definitely worth expanding your radius if you're dead set on a 6MT.

My wife put the stipulation of it being CPO, so I was limited to dealerships.
