m4xm, why'd you decide to stop bragging about your GTR? No mods listed.

Maybe an unfair question, but how do you like the S8 compared to the GTR?

Yes completely deferent in different way, Audi is super smooth and perfect for when i'm not looking to be raw loud and go really fast.
My GTR is FBO E85 and has gone as fast as 10.32@135+ on street tires .
I've also driven a APR S2 S8 to a 11.1@125 pass, and the GTR is just a different kind of fast and feels way different .
Note that all our track runs here are done in the Hot days and really limit ourselves from going faster.

I'ts just great to have the two actually, but wife mostly drives the Audi.

I've never seen DA less than 2500+ here.

The 60' is good and that's about it. Stock cars are seeing 12.2-12.4 depending on DA and track conditions and typically trap 110-112mph.

Stage 1 S6/7 cars usually run 11.4-11.8 depending on track and DA variables and trap somewhere in the 115-119 range. Seems like the heat really did a number on your car.

For reference, my EPL ECU/TCU car was not making full boost and still ran 11.8 @ 115 in a +1700DA. My tune has since been adjusted and the car is much stronger now. No new times yet as it is ungodly hot where I am this time of year

hmm, that MPH looks really low for a stage 1 car, even in the heat. Do you have details how bad the DA was, even if it was about 3000 you should have easily been in the high 11's I'd think at something close to 115 mph.

And yes it was about 3000 DA. High 80s and humidity had to be in the 90%.

Hence why I always get before Data to compare.

$175 right now to get in, but after the first 20 cars $225. Better to commit early because there's a limit of 30

If you have a VAG I'd log to see what your boost and timing are at WOT, something there isn't right, may be the same issue Mickey had but that's even more problematic than what he experienced as I recall. I would contact EPL and ask Tony which parameters to log and send him some info. Only then can he know if it was the tune, or something else. Their customer support is very top notch and why I continue to use them for my Audis

One guy running 91 did an 11.5 I think. I'm pretty sure others have done 11.3 on stage 2. Hows Godzilla treating you?

ya their stage 2 tune seems to be pretty strong!

godzilla is great, ran it at a roll race this weekend and trapped 147. there was a tuned stage 2 rs7 that was trapping 142-145

Kevin (Nardo Stage 2 RS7) officially trapped 146 on 104 tune, he said there was also a white RS7 that was running slower but likely on pump file. What fuel are you using, seems common for GTR's to use E85.

Our cars are meant for 1/4 mile racing. The event on Saturday was fun, but definitely meant for lighter cars, or much higher HP cars. From a 1/4 mile perspective my car was probably faster than a large portion of the cars running on Saturday. Where as there were close to 100 cars out there and at least 35 of them were trapping higher than me. Cool event for sure.

two totally different cars, i think the rs7 is the best of both worlds with comfort and being very quick. the audi "tuning" just lacks compared to the gtr market and unfortunately is what holds back the platform

its my garage queen as there is nothing out there in that price range that matches the handling and performance. while the rs7 is close to a bolt on gtr in straight line performance, the rs7 just rolls in a corner compared to the GTR

i have a daily driver acura tsx and the gtr will stay in the garage :)

agreed- I'm not sure there is another car out there that tune only can run 10.5x's, no matter the type of fuel. I don't mean any disrespect to the GTR, it's a monster in its own right, but the RS is an equally amazing engineering feat if not more so considering weight and that it's really a luxury car above all else.

It's more of a feat...thing can carry 4 passengers, insane cargo space, more plush ride and is just as quick in a straight line (arguably quicker if comparing just a tune vs just a tune). Not to mention GTR interiors are sub par at their price point.

The rs7 is a great car, but mod for mod the gtr is quicker. Stock motor/turbo record is 9.7 I believe. Right now that's .5 seconds faster than the rs7.

The GTR is iconic no doubt, has become one of the most recognizable faces of the modern supercar. I am curious though what just a tune nets you in one vs. the RS, I know I can get in the 10.4X with better conditions and track prep- curious if you know what that number is for the GTR?
