Considering going back to stock allroad exhaust

I'll be unloading the AWE Tuning Allroad 2.0T Touring Edition Exhaust System (diamond black tips) currently on the car. It's been installed for ~2 years.

I'll be keeping the HFC and downpipe, this is only for the catback exhaust system.

Anyone interested in the AWE exhaust? I'd be open to some kind of trade for a stock allroad exhaust.

Why are you going back to stock?

It's fairly simple, it's part of my overall desire to "quiet" the car down. I have already gone back to the stock intake and next up is the exhaust.

Going back to the stock catback should help with that. It won't be as quiet as a bone stock allroad of course considering I'm keeping the K04, Eurocode HFC and AWE downpipe.

The exhaust has performed perfectly and really have zero complaints. Sound is a personal preference thing...

There has been a few people expressing interest in swapping for A4 Avant exhausts. As I said I am open to a trade. My biggest concern with a trade is that I want the stock exhaust to be the exact match for the allroad stock exhaust. Does anyone know if the stock A4 avant and A4 allroad exhaust are identical? I've looked at the part numbers online and there are similar 9-character part numbers. However, some parts have different 2 letter characters at the end of the 9 character part number.

Figured that might be the case. Haven't been considering an exhaust for that very reason. My other car is a air cooled 911 with a muffler bypass so I get my loud "fix" in already!

Did some research and found some information that the A4 exhaust isn't compatible with allroads. The mount/hanger points are different or so I'm told.

This is good to hear. Waiting to hear back from a friend of a friend on a swap for a '15 allroad stock exhaust. The intermediary friend has a lift we will use to make the swap.

    Looking forward to the deal...

Looks like the swap is a go. Planned for December 3rd. Hoping it goes smoothly.

Reviewed the AWE installation instructions and it appears the swaps is straightforward. Looks like both OEM and AWE exhausts use the same hangers and the OEM should mate right up the the AWE Downpipe without a reducer/adapter. I need to confirm this 100% though. Anyone know offhand?

Will need to get some exhaust paste too. Any suggestions on where to buy? Brand?
