O Carbon is very reasonable in my opinion and you can even customize the size of the weave as well as the color.

Pretty sure these guys had ripped off a few people - they aren't even a supporter anymore, I wouldn't order from them.

Its a fact. They do not create for the b5 anymore and some.people never got theirs while others had to wait 6 months to a year. Either DIY (which is quite easy with patience) or vinyl wrap it. Although if you want glossy, vinyl carbon looks terrible. Ask me how I know. Mine is wrapped with Vvivid carbon vinyl and while its nice, it doesn't come close to the real stuff. Its been added to my plans for the car to DIY make my own carbon fiber trim.

TLDR; Don't buy carbon fiber vinyl. Do it the real way, or don't do it at all. If that option won't work for whatever reason, piano black vinyl or brushed steel/aluminum vinyl. Or a set of OEM sport trim.

I was unaware of this, I guess they aren't an option. You can always play the waiting game and keep an eye on the classifieds for b5 rs4 carbon trim, they pop-up occasionally. But the cost isn't cheap, I believe that is what I have in my car. That or old OCarbon stuff before they became unreliable.

Weird. Check out ocarbon on Instagram. Looks like they just made a set for the b5 a few days ago that's up for sale!

I did dry carbon look and it looks great!

If you go for a glossy look make sure its the 4D wrap not 3D

    All Over!

I personally would rather get real carbon fibre, or stick with OEM Sport trim.

"Carbon fibre" wrap looks pretty gash, in my opinion.

    Hey,

Thanks for sharing my website! I do lots of these conversions. See my full audi b5 and up offerings on my site: http://www.customledandcarbon.bigcar...nyl-carbon-led

I can do it in the standard 3M/Arlon CF, or a Metro (USA-made locally by me) in super high gloss CF.

Let me know what you or anyone else is thinking and we can go from there!

Thanks guys! I have many pics available should someone want more. Also have several full interiors, so cores don't need to be up front.

Do you have any good links to get this done? I can't find a LHD carbon trim so might as well do it myself.

Technically there's just the 2 right and long center/pass side pieces that are reversed, the rest is all the same.

I could do a full set for you, minus those, and could do those if you send them to me. Just an option if you were interested

Yeah I have found sets for RHD cars but the sellers wouldn't separate it and I'd be stuck with the RHD pieces.

I am interested in real carbon trim, not wrapped trim. If you can do a real set for me that'd be awesome.

I'd love to wrap in real CF, but I don't have any time at the moment to start new projects like that unfortunately. If that changes in the near future, I'll definitely post up about it on my personal thread or elsewhere also.

The only thing I don't like about vinyl cf is the lack of gloss at all angles and you can't polish it out. In the above photo you can see the way the light reflects and it bugs me too much. Piano black, real CF, or sport trim for me.

It reflects that way in the Chinese eBay wrap. Mine reflects much nicer than that. I've had the two finishes next to each other and there's a big difference to the USA-made custom stuff Metro makes for me.

To each their own as far as preference, and obviously vinyl will never be exactly like real carbon fiber.

Piano black is my other favorite finish along with matte/Satin silver chrome.
