I actually cut the resonators out on mine (purchased car with them already installed and no stock DP). If you wanted to save some coin, you can pay an exhaust shop on the cheap to weld them in. Let me know if you want to work something out...

Removed and replaced resonators with straight pipe so yes, essentially turned a resonated DP into a non-resonated one.

what exhaust do you have it paired with? how bad is the drone? i was thinking of buying awe non res downpipes, but might go this way to save a couple bucks

I originally had the AWE touring exhaust with resonated downpipes. This was done by the original owner who dumped the original exhaust and downpipes, unfortunately. I wanted a bit more growl so I removed the resonators from the downpipes. Drone is nearly the same as it was before (only rattles slightly a 1500-2000 rpms under slight accelerations).
