What do you mean? Its very possible it doesn't burn oil, I drove mine 3000K miles across the country and didn't burn a drop...some burn oil, others dont.

I'd just like to state that my RS is my 3rd Audi, 4th German car, and all of them have consumed some oil between changes; maybe not much, but definitely some. So as it is plausible that a very not-rare colored ti package '08 does not consume any oil- it is unlikely that car will be deemed "collectible". The market has pretty well already proven that. An example of collectible would be the 1M coupe- those are changing hands at over sticker in some cases still.

My .02. .....perhaps if this car were showroom condition and an Audi Exclusive color....then maybe.....

Doesn't burn oil? I guess if you don't drive it, you'll never know. Both of my RS4 have burned oil, and most of my other VW products did, as well.
Funny how some of these guys get all high and mighty about their cars. I don't mind him trying to drive value up, but don't be an arrogant prick about it. List your car for an astronomical figure and leave it at that. $60k . Maybe that's what he owes on it.

For me, different oils burn more in my RS4. Get little or no burn with Liqui Moly. By the time I need to add a quart, it is close to 5000 miles and I just change the oil. Castrol Edge on the other hand, or whatever they are using at the dealerships now, burns like hell.

Bye the way, my car has brand new breaks, tires, carbon cleaning and full service records. I'm the second owner and this things in excellent condition. I've owned, serviced, bought and sold a lot of audis and this is bye far the cleanest, best optioned and lowest mileage ive owned. I don't buy and sell cars for a living, just seeing if someone else appreciates this car as much as I do. The die hard forum guys (he ones hating) are simply upset that I'm honest about the major problems that plague these cars. Anytime you buy a used 4.2, from this era, you risk it burning oil and needing a replacement. Usually right around 60k. I own and maintain a lot of equipement and I assure you I do so without cutting corners and without a dime spared. don't trust me look at the car and its records.

Best of luck on your search, took me a while to get this one. Share your new car, excited to see some other owners preserving these cars not running them into the ground. In 10'years there will be so few left! Don't get me wrong I daily drove my last rs4 and tuned/ modded others, and that was too much fun (wreckless really). The fact that so many people feel this way, only makes ones like mine and docevg's so much more special. We own these cars because they are truly unique German muscle cars, which we will never see again. I'm an ass about all this, because it's so unobtainable; Audi sold out after this car. If you don't see that, well I wouldn't sell to you anyway. I don't own this car to make money or to take a million pictures. I own it so that on nice days, when I'm not working, I can go out and truely enjoy the vechicle. Pure enjoyement, nothing more.

"Risk needing" I've had 2 previous 4.2s (one b7 s4 Avant and one b7 rs4) that burned a serious amount of oil. Also owned b6 s4 and a different rs4 that burned 1 quart between oil changes. So my experience puts it at 40% risk of burning oil (1qt in 600 miles). Sure you can add oil with every tank of gas, but be honest here it's a serious risk, and my experience is at 60k both times (didn't buy either new, both around 30,000 and bye 60-65k where burning oil). So spending 35-40 on a 50k car sounds like a poor play. Go high or go low and accept the risks, or find someone that will provide an oil consumption test...

Riot, I didn't mean to join this discussion but heck.
Fact: A healthy BNS motor burns 1qt/2-5k. You are comparing 2x S4's and another? RS4 (did you mean 2x b7 RS4). These are not the same engines.

Two questions:
1.) If all your cars were first OK and then started burning 1qt/600miles oil after you drove them for 30k, don't you think it may not have been the cars fault?
2.) Is something terminally wrong with the internal combustion engine if it burns a "healthy" amount of oil or why are you bothered with that?

One na 4.2 I bought at 27, bye 60-65 (cannot remember exactly) it slowly burned more and more.
One fsi 4.2 i bought at 6x,xxx, which was burning the day I bought it.

Other two where as you said burning a healthy amount of oil. One I drove for 100k the other 20k.
