This is not really about sucking up to the cost of the product, which really isn't much more expensive than a quart of ATF. Going back to my initial post, it was a comparison to the oe specified hydrualic oil. ATF is also hydraulic oil, and other car manufacturers specify to use it right out of the user manual. If there is a product out there that has properties better suited for the application then I will definitely pick that product over the chf202. In fact, I have two liters of the stuff sitting in my garage right now and while I could just dump it in, I was wondering if ATF had better properties suited for a P/S system.
