    Airbag Fault Code Help - 02756 & 00592

The car has had the following two fault codes ever since I took out the passenger seat to run some power wire to an amp in the rear of the car. I've cleared the codes multiple times only to have them come back almost immediately.

I've spent countless hours researching these and have torn the car apart twice with no success.

Anyone have any experience with these?

    2 Faults Found:
02756 - Redundant signal path of Airbag cut-off switch - front passenger side (E224)
010 - Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent - MIL ON
    Freeze Frame:
    Fault Status: 10101010
    Fault Priority: 2
    Fault Frequency: 1
    Reset counter: 255
    Time Indication: 0

    00592 - Seat Belt Switch; Passenger (E25)
010 - Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent
    Freeze Frame:
    Fault Status: 00101010
    Fault Priority: 2
    Fault Frequency: 1
    Reset counter: 39
    Time Indication: 0

The first one really confuses me because the car doesn't even have a airbag cut-off switch, the one that you might find in the glove box is non-existent and the wiring certainly isn't there either. Not sure if some unrelated coding to other modules makes the car think this should be there?

In regards to the second fault all research points to the passenger seat belt switch/fastener that's attached to the seat. Well I took it apart to inspect the internal wiring and found nothing wrong. Now it's being held together with tape, so I get to replace that either way now . The wiring under the seat also looks good.

Wondering if I need to somehow test the wiring connectors in the floor under the seat. Not sure what to measure or where to start there.

To follow up on this, after putting everything back together and clearing the codes they stayed away.

Not sure what to make of it, but I would check all connections under the seat for anyone stumbling upon this in the future.

Random shot in the dark but this issue just resolved itself? I have the 02756 code (but not intermittent) and I'm at a loss on how to get rid of it. Granted I retrofitted B8 S-Line seats but curious if you ever were able to figure this out or if the issue returned? My code won't go away so I've got the airbag light on all the time now...

There was an airbag recall for this series of audis. I never had codes but I had random airbag warnings on my dash. Ask your local dealership if the work was done. They'd be happy to fix it for you.

Yeah unfortunately this is old enough all I can remember is what I’ve posted on this thread. Not really sure what did it.

Did you retro both front and rear?
