VIN number not being found

So just received my new 2017 A4 this past week from Military Auto Sales. I'm stationed in Italy but this is an American spec that I had custom made and delivered to me. Twice I've tried to use my VIN (once to receive my owners manual online from Audi.com and also to create my Audi Connect account) and both times the VIN wasn't recognized. Has anyone ever had this problem. Could it be that my car is so "new" from factory production that it's not showing up yet in the database? Any help would be appreciated as this is very frustrating.

Congrats on your new B9 A4! I think your suspicions of it being so new might be right. Your VIN probably has not been registered with Audi US yet. I recommend contacting Audi US customer service and just inquire directly with them. They'll be able to confirm if this is the case or not. And, when your car's VIN will be recognized.

Just a thought, but I know when running the VIN on my BMW in most cases it doesn't actually want the entire number, just say the last 7-6 digits. Otherwise I get an error or VIN not found. Just saying be sure to check for the fine print, might not be wanting the entire VIN.

Another thing you might want to check is whether you are entering the letter "O" or the number zero.

The day after my car was built and I got the VIN I was able to use it to register it with AudiUSA and I was able to find very limited data about my car when I Googled the VIN number.

Called Audi Connect customer service. She said my VIN wasn't in the database yet and put in a request to have it added. Hopefully that gives me the ability to unlock my Audi's capabilities. Thanks for the responses!
