Couple Dumb Question - New A4 Owner

Hey I recently picked up a 2010 A4 with 60k miles and more or less I love it. Came from a 13 GLI that was in an accident so needed something quick and cheaper than what I spent on the GLI wish it were 6MT but couldn't spend a ton of time searching.

I just replaced the PCV due to a check engine light and the codes I got on VCDS. Also changed the oil and cleared codes and 100 miles later I'm still good, so I think I solved the issue.

But while replacing the PCV I noticed a few things that I've kinda put on my list of repairs. Forgive my lack of knowledge of terminology here.

1 - On the Coil Pack Wiring Harness theres those little clips that come out and clip into well I dunno, but its the little clips and wires coming out the opposite side of the coil packs. When I replaced my PCV I noticed that the clips themselves were half broken I assume from a previous owner as this was my first time under the hood. I'm wondering if there's any DIY's on replacing these clips or the harness itself. I can't seem to find a part for this searching through a few of the common sites.

2 - I believe oil was leaking into where the coil packs were because when I removed them I found some residue on the sides. I plan on replacing these with R8 Coil Packs to give me some piece of mind. But 2 questions here, should I replace the plugs at the same time? I'm thinking I may as well while I'm working on it. And is there any safe way to clean the insides of where the coil packs and plugs go? I'd like to remove any other oil residue.

3 - Oil catch can worth it?

4 - When changing the oil I noticed that the screws holding the plastic cover in place were half missing and the remaining ones were stripped/corroded. Anyone have a part number for these screws? Or am I overthinking it here and should just go to autozone and tell em what I need.

Just trying to keep the car straight while I make it through the winter, then hopefully starting some more fun stuff.

First thing you should do is find out if the pistons and chain tensioner were done on this car. Call a dealer and give them your VIN.

Catch can is somewhat worth it, although I personally use VTA. You being in a cold climate like mine, you're going to want to keep a close eye on the catch can, or disable it during the cold months (so like, every month except July and August for Buffalo, amirite? :P)

Carfax report says at 30k that the oil consumption test was done and the piston rings replaced. Don't see anything about the chain tensioner, this something I should be worried about?

And Buffalo's been relatively warm lately :P

    YES

It's possible it was done with the pistons but unlikely.

A lot of guys dont like catch cans but i think its worth it. I drained mine not too long ago and a lot of crap was in there. That would be going back into the manifold

Figure better to bump this than start a new thread.

Well everything seemed ok for awhile, but a little under 1k miles since I've replaced the PCV and I got this:

    5671 - Boost Pressure Regulation
    P0299 00 [237] - Control Range Not Reached
MIL ON - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
    Freeze Frame:
    Fault Status: 00000001
    Fault Priority: 2
    Fault Frequency: 1
    Mileage: 104422 km
    Date: 2009.12.06
    Time: 14:50:29

4105 - Bank 1; System too Lean at Idle
    P2187 00 [096] - -
Intermittent - Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
    Freeze Frame:
    Fault Status: 00000001
    Fault Priority: 2
    Fault Frequency: 1
    Mileage: 104422 km
    Date: 2009.12.06
    Time: 14:50:29

I didn't notice a rough idle. I checked the pcv hoses and other likely culprits around the engine bay. Noticed no leaks. Kinda at a loss here.
