    no, here is my take on the issue, if you are looking to go low but keep ride quality at its best you can "A" get more expansion coilovers ie KW1. I have heard STs are decent for DD use and aren't that much more money. or "B" get a cup kit that included new shocks and struts and lowering springs. I have had both and out of actually all three types: Budget coilovers, more expensive ones, and Balstein cup kit. The cup kit is by far the best option. Its just as much as a budget coilover, it was just as low as when I had coilovers and the ride was far superior to both of my coilover types.

    The key word is "go low". Sorry, but any coilover that you dump out and drive on the street is going to sacrifice ride quality. Coilovers have a recommended working range. If you stay within that range you shouldn't experience that much difference in ride quality. Obviously, it will feel a little sportier due to different shock valving and spring rates but one should not expect it to ride like factory. The lower you go the more you sacrifice ride quality.

    Cup kits have a set ride height that they are designed to work with. Which is why most of the time they will have better ride quality. Coilovers you really need to find the sweet spot between height and ride quality. Usually, it's on the less low side. This is where budget coilovers get a bad name. Most people slam their cars which A is going to ride terribly, to begin with, and the shocks really arn't designed to work out of that range.

    I have the JOM Blue lines on my car. At 25" FTG I had no issues at all. Felt as good as OEM sport suspension, not bouncy, not stiff, just smooth. For the price, I coudlnt beat it.

    I decided to go a bit lower, 24" FTG on the front, and I now feel the suspension is beyond its limits of rebound. I hit the bump stops on rough roads and dips, which I dont like, and it feels a bit soft for enthusiastic driving.

    I will be upgrading soon but, again, for the price, the JOM's were completely worth it.
