Hello All I have a 2002 audi a4 3.0l 6 speed manual tranny that needs an alternator and some misc parts. Can I buy a 2004 audi a4 1.8l turbo for parts. The main parts I am looking for is the alternator ac compressor and condenser and window switches and other little parts. Will these parts be compatible. Any help would be greatly appreciated I need to buy the car quick because the price is right.

The AC compressor will likely be different. I'd also check the alternator as I believe the 1.8T came with 2 different rated versions, one was the same as the 3.0, the other had a lower amp rating.

Never argue with an idiot, they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Go to ecstuning.com, put in your car, and look up the part. It will tell you what cars the part fits.

There are 2-3 different A/C compressors for the B6, and there is one VIN split in the 2003 model year. I pretty sure that there is a thread around here that explains the differences, and it is more than just the bracket, there are threaded fittings that are different as well.

just going from personal experience and that most parts fiche list the same one for both, the one from 02 3.0 fit on my 03 1.8t, if they are different I didn't notice, but can't speak for the 04 verison
