Yet another RNS-E help, bluetooth thread

Sorry for posting something that has been talked about a lot but it seems a lot of the info is outdated and I wanted to see what people are using that works well.

My car is an 02 Symphony II non-bose, no steering wheel controls. I just bought an RNS-E (2008) and am gathering everything to install. I would like to add bluetooth and ipod hookup at the same time. I was looking at the Dension GWP1AC1 but it seems that it does not work without steering wheel controls. Is that true? Anyone tried it?

    I would like:
Hands free calling (needs to auto pair after initial setup unlike the cheap amazon adapters you have to pair every time)
    Bluetooth audio
Text display on the NAV/DIS would be nice but not completely necessary
ipod 30 pin hookup with charging and info display/controls on screen

    Any advice is appreciated!

Contact Enfig. They should be able to let you know what you need. You probably need a special connector that has the quad lock on one side, and Symphony connectors on the other side.

I have an email into them. When I originally asked them they said they don't ship anything for RNS-E swaps anymore because of wiring differences, etc. I ordered an adapter harness elsewhere and emailed them back specifically asking for a recommendation on the bluetooth module.

Gotcha. Good luck. Hopefully someone has done the conversion knows.
